Day - 2! We made it to Asheville, NC! We've traveled about 900 miles covering 7 states. Wow! What a journey! Everyone is doing well, and we are really enjoying the views of the great Smoky Mountains. Plans are to post more pictures and info tomorrow night upon arrival in Pigeon Forge, TN. Best wishes to all. The Crew

Day - 4! What a day! Dolly Wood was lots of fun, but sure did wear us out. After some take out pizza, we headed to Laser Port for laser tag, go carts, and lots of fun. Sorry there aren't more pictures. We weren't able to take many pics at DW, so all we had was the one from Laser Port. Also, we haven't had much of a chance to respond to email due to a slow connection and late nights. The boys will be calling home sometime tomorrow night after we finish laundry. Well, it's past our bed time, so look forward to more tomorrow.

Day - 5! Today was filled with visiting high places in Gatlinburg. We went 345+ feet in the Space Needle, then up the mountain in the Sky Lift. After lunch, we enjoyed some walking on the strip in Gatlinburg. Evening was filled with cleaning and swimming. The adults rotated out taking a break from the group. Mr. Dudley, Mr. McDonald, and Danny had the honor during this time to meet Rick Hurst, an actor who starred in the original Dukes of Hazzard television show. What an honor! Tomorrow will provide another opportunity to visit Gatlinburg and several attractions there. We will try to check email tomorrow. We are still working on getting a faster connection. Day - 6! Today was spent visiting attractions in Gatlinburg. Some of the boys were able to meet actor Rick Hurst, who made sure everyone left with autographs. Later that day, we drove to Cade's Cove, which turned out to be a lengthy drive through the Great Smoky Mountain National Forest. Afterwards, we enjoyed a great meal at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Tomorrow will prove to be another busy day as we travel to Knoxville. Best wishes to all.

Day - 7! Took a nice drive to Knoxville today. Didn't get many pics from there. Enjoyed some time swimming and exploring the creek at the motel this evening. Tomorrow will take us to Memphis, where I'm not sure whether or not we will have Internet connection. So, if we aren't able to post, we will have our phone committee call everyone about an hour from home on Sunday. Take care and we'll see you on Sunday.

Day - 8! We are at a church here outside of Memphis, TN. Mr. Lane is having trouble with his vehicle. The A/C compressor is locked up on it, which is causing the belt not to turn correctly. Long story short, we won't be able to work on it until 8 AM when the part store opens. So, our estimated arrival time of 3 PM may actually be later, depending on how smooth the repairs go. A man from a local scout troop has offered help with tools and labor to repair it, do hopefully we will be enroute home by 9 AM. Either way, we will call everyone when we are about an hour away from home so everyone can meet at the Scout Hut. We look forward to seeing everyone again.
