Sunrise Spuds

This high energy recipe is great for backpacking, and no clean up!

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups instant mashed potato flakes
1 cups grated or powdered cheese
dehydrated onion to taste
precooked bacon bits as desired
4 Ziploc bag

PREPARATION:

  • Before camp, measure out 3/4 to 1 cup of potato flakes into a Ziploc bag. Add cheese, onion, and bacon to your taste and liking. Seal the bag airtight.
  • At camp, slowly add hot water and stir until a consistency of mashed potatoes is achieved.
  • Enjoy it right out of the bag!

  • 1 pkg. instant mashed potato flakes
  • 1 pkg. grated or powdered cheese
  • 1 jar dehydrated onion
  • 1 bottle precooked bacon bits
