Sunrise Spuds
This high energy recipe is great for backpacking, and no clean up!
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups instant mashed potato flakes
1 cups grated or powdered cheese
dehydrated onion to taste
precooked bacon bits as desired
4 Ziploc bag
PREPARATION:
- Before camp, measure out 3/4 to 1 cup of potato flakes into a Ziploc bag. Add cheese, onion, and bacon to your taste and liking. Seal the bag airtight.
- At camp, slowly add hot water and stir until a consistency of mashed potatoes is achieved.
- Enjoy it right out of the bag!

- 1 bottle precooked bacon bits
