Poor Man Ribs

You can also take cooking string, the kind that you use to tie up chicken and turkey legs, and lace all the hot dogs together. Just lay all hot dogs together side by side, then thread them together about 1 1/2" down from each end (I use a carpet threading needle), and then loop right down the other end. When you get back to the dog that you started with, tie the string together. Cook on grill while brushing with the sauce. Now you have a rack of poor man ribs.

INGREDIENTS:

hot dogs
barbecue sauce

PREPARATION:

  • Cook the hot dogs as normal either on a grill, over an open flame, or on a stick. While cooking keep brushing with your favorite barbecue sauce. Then either drop the dogs on a bun, put them on a plate, or you can just eat it right off the stick.
  • Servings: 2-4
    Preparation time: 20 minutes
