Bluegill Balls

Serve with tartar sauce. If available, minced onion is good to add to mixture.

INGREDIENTS:

15 bluegill fillets, scaled and deboned
10 saltines
1 egg
minced onion, optional
salt and pepper, to taste
oil

PREPARATION:

  • Crush saltines until crumbs. Put into bowl along with egg, salt, and pepper. Mince fish and add to mixture. Roll into balls and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
