Foil-wrapped steak

Here is a good steak recipe cooked in foil.

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 lb Chuck or round steak
1 pk Onion soup mix
3 ea Medium carrots
3 ea Medium potatoes
2 tb Butter

PREPARATION:

  • Tear off enough foil to completely cover meat and vegetables. Place meat in center of foil on cookie sheet.
  • Spread onion soup mix on top.
  • Place chunks of pared carrots and potatoes on meat.
  • Dot with butter.
  • Seal foil around entire thing to hold in meat juices.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until vegetables are soft.
  • The meat juices may be used to make a delicious gravy.

  • Servings: 4
    Preparation time: 1 to 1 1/2 hours

  • 2 pk Onion soup mix
  • 6 ea Medium carrots
  • 6 ea Medium potatoes
  • 1 stick of butter
  • pepper
  • Seasoned Salt or regular table salt

For Twelve scouts

  • 6 lbs Chuck or round steak
  • 3 pk Onion soup mix
  • 9 ea Medium carrots
  • 9 ea Medium potatoes
  • 2 stick of butter
  • pepper
  • Seasoned Salt or regular table salt
