CHUCK WAGON DINNER

A delicious dinner and easy to make.

INGREDIENTS:
4 lg. pieces aluminum foil (double folded)
2 lg. baking potatoes
2 lg. carrots
1 lb. ground beef
2 med. onions (quartered)
1 lg. stalk celery
1 sm. green pepper 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, drained

PREPARATION:

  • Take 4 large sheets of aluminum foil and lay them on the counter. Shape ground beef into 4 patties.
  • Place 1 patty on each piece of aluminum foil. Cut potatoes and onion into thick slices.
  • Cut carrots, celery, and green pepper into 2 inch chunks. Place some of each vegetable on top of ground beef. Put tomatoes on top.
  • Season with salt and pepper. Bring ends of aluminum foil together and seal on top.
  • Place on grill or grate over campfire for 1 hour, or until meat and vegetables are tender.
  • Servings: 4
    Preparation time: 45 minutes to 1 hour

  • 3 lb. ground beef
  • 8 med. onions
  • 8 lg. potatoes
  • 8 lg. carrots
  • 3 lg. stalk celery
  • 3 sm. green pepper
  • 3 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 heavy duty roll of aluminum foil
  • Salt
