Boatin' Hillbilly Trash Breakfast

This is so easy to make, and you can add whatever you want, and clean up is easy.

INGREDIENTS:
1 bag shredded hash brown
6 eggs
1 lb sausage or ham, cooked
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups shredded sharp cheese
seasoning salt and pepper
red, yellow, or green peppers, optional

PREPARATION:

  • Take an aluminum foil cooking bag sprayed with pam, sprinkle with seasoning salt and put some pats of butter in the foil bag.
  • Open a bag of hash browns, beat eggs, chop onions, pour all ingedients into the bag of hash browns, and mix by squeezing.
  • Then pour the mixture into the foil cooking bag and spread out.
  • Add some salt and pepper, more seasoning salt, and a bit more butter on top of the hash brown mixture.
  • Place the aluminum cooking bag on a preheated grill (medium heat) and turn the bag every five minutes.
  • The bag will start to puff and you can open it to check for doneness.

    • Servings: 4 Preparation time: 30 minutes

    Grocery List:

    For four scouts

    • 1 bag shredded hash brown
    • 6 eggs
    • 1 lb sausage or ham
    • 1 medium onion
    • Large bag of shredded sharp cheese
    • 1 bell pepper, your choice of color [optional]
    • 1 stick of butter
    • 1 roll of heavy duty foil or foil pouches [you will need one pouch per scout]
    • 1 can of cooking oil spray, such as Pam
    • Seasoned Salt or regular salt
    • Pepper

    For eight scouts

    • 2 bag shredded hash brown
    • 12 eggs
    • 2 lb sausage or ham
    • 2 medium onion
    • 2 Large bags of shredded sharp cheese
    • 2 bell pepper, your choice of color [optional]
    • 2 sticks of butter
    • 1 roll of heavy duty foil or foil pouches [you will need one pouch per scout]
    • 1 can of cooking oil spray, such as Pam
    • Seasoned Salt or regular salt
    • Pepper

    For Twelve scouts

    • 3 bag shredded hash brown
    • 18 eggs
    • 3 lb sausage or ham
    • 3 medium onion
    • 3 Large bags of shredded sharp cheese
    • 3 bell pepper, your choice of color [optional]
    • 2 sticks of butter
    • 1 roll of heavy duty foil or foil pouches [you will need one pouch per scout]
    • 1 can of cooking oil spray, such as Pam
    • Seasoned Salt or regular salt
